Awareness and Intention - Weekend Meditation/Chi Gong Retreat

Sat. & Sun. April 21 & 22, 2018
Cost $340 ($265 w/ Anniversary Special)

Awareness and Intention are the Yin and Yang of our consciousness. We can develop and use these natural forces to make changes in our lives, to improve health, to set and attain goals, to change and improve any and every aspect of our life.

The Internal Arts teach us how to become aware of and then harness our inner resources and then direct that inner power to any endeavour we choose.

Awareness - Awareness is our gift of consciousness. Our ability to change, develop or grow is dependent upon our level of awareness. If we are not aware of our present state or situation, we cannot form the intention or have the desire to change or improve it. So everything is really based on awareness, and further refining it. This affords you the luxury of deeper knowing and deeper participation in a situation. Once inside a situation or state, your very presence or intention can now change it from the inside.

Intention - Attention is concentrated awareness; awareness with more energy, more focus behind it. Intention is laser-beam attention applied to a purpose, objective or goal. That goal can be anything you desire. It can be mental, emotional or physical. It can be health or energy-related, or it can be material.

Learning to work with the mind and internal energy, chi or ki, affords you the ability to work with another medium or dimension, previously untapped. The benefits of discovering and then developing your internal energy and strength penetrates into every facet of your life, especially when consciously applied and directed.

Learn to tap into and access the inner-wellspring of strength, health and energy heretofore unavailable to you by developing and refining the most intrinsic essence of yourself: your mind and life-force.

Awareness and Intention are our birthright, our natural gifts, however, for most, they largely lie dormant or are developed haphazardly and unconsciously. Imagine the difference when these natural resources are consciously and methodically nurtured and cultivated. A whole new world can open to you.

However, these two forces need to be in balance and harmony for the manifestation of long-term, stable success. Awareness and Intention must go hand-in-hand in a harmonious, dynamic blend for our wishes and dreams to sprout and take root in 'concrete' reality.

Do you sense within you greater powers and abilities waiting to be tapped and expressed? Do you intuit everything is basically energy, and it is a matter of sensing, developing and working with this inner energy to actualize the potential latent within? Are you quietly aware of the inner rumblings of inherent power trying to find its way to the 'real world'?

Learn to sense, develop and wield your inner-resources; become acquainted with the intrinsic internal power that is lying within you, waiting to be discovered, released and focused towards your goals and values that are deserving of materialization.

Building Personal Power and Internal Strength Through Mind-Body Unification.

Most people tend to squander their forces by having a scattered mind and splintered attention. However, it is possible to bring together all of your resources - physical, mental, emotional, spiritual - to help you meet life’s challenges, manage crisis situations and positively create your life. You can intend and develop:

  • a greater sense of calmness
  • reduced stress
  • increased energy and vitality
  • more balanced emotions
  • your ability to claim your centre and own your space
  • emotional and/or physical healing
  • set inspired goals and achieve them through harmonized power.

This energizing Retreat also includes meals and accommodations(optional). Call for a detailed brochure. This one inspiring Weekend can provide you with effective skills and insights to last a lifetime! Note: Don't miss out. Call Early to Register, as space is limited.

Tai Chi Silk Reeling (2 Sundays)

May 27 & June 3
2:00pm - 5:00pm
Cost $180 ($140 w/ Ann. Special)

Silk Reeling is a foundational Tai Chi exercise that mimics pulling silk from a silk worm's cocoon. The soft, flowing, yet controlled movements yield many benefits for the mind and body. In particular, Tai Chi Silk Reeling will develop leg/hip strength and flexibility, help with releasing stress and tension as, well as, relieve shoulder stiffness and pain.

This system thoroughly, yet gently, activates and energizes your joints, the "Energy Gates" of the body, triggering a strong overall energy flow, as well as, having a cleansing, purging effect on the lymph glands. And because Silk Reeling directly stimulates and mobilizes the spine, it can play a major role in overall health and fitness, including boosting the immune system.

The entire collection of Silk Reeling Exercises can be performed as a thorough mind/body workout, stimulating greater energy flow and building strength. Or individual moves can be practiced for a quick, convenient, stress reliever and energy-boost, re-setting your mind/body system to invigorate the rest of your day.
